BLOG 1: This is my first blog. I'd like to take you on a journey through the highlands that are located in Ontario, Canada. The Ontario Highlands span a huge area (400 sq km) bordered by the Ottawa River in the east, Sharbot Lake in the south, the Kawartha Lakes to the west and Algonquin Park to the north. The highlands experience all four seasons and average temperatures between +30C to -30C. The highlands are a diverse and virgin mixed deciduous/coniferous forest with an impressive amount of Great White Pines and medicinal herbs. Join me to discover what plants it has to offer...
